Bright colours are a perennial spring favourite but this season the trend has reached its peak. Every colour of the rainbow was represented on the catwalks at brands such as Fendi, Prada, Versace, Etro, Miu Miu and Jil Sander.
When it comes to adopting the trend in real life, there are some things to keep in mind. If you aren’t confident enough to wear colour head-to-toe (colour blocking was also big on the runways) then choose one statement piece such as a bright coral top or yellow skirt and pair it with a neutral shade of beige or white. When colourblocking, colours should clash but compliment one another.
An accessory that pops will also get the message across – Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton and Furla have have some standout bags that come in candy colours while Hermes has to-die-for neon clutches. A pair of brightly coloured shoes (opt for patent leather) can also add some fun to your look.
