Shanghai River necklace (HK$8,800) and Tabatha Mosaic necklace (HK$6,180)
It’s always exciting when local brands collaborate with international designers. This month Hong Kong based lifestyle brand Shanghai Tang has enlisted the talents of Parisian jeweller Shourouk, whose chunky costume jewellery we’ve been lusting after for a while now.
Drawing from a lavish palette of rich hues, crystals and intricate embroidery, the five piece collection combines China chic with a contemporary pop art spin. Featuring enameled crystals, hand-painted fluorescent stones, tribal ikat prints, faux pearls and Swarovski elements, the eclectic pieces are not unlike her other vibrant designs but have an exotic Eastern inspiration.
Leitmotiv Mosaic necklace (HK$4,280) and Leitmotiv Mosaic brooch (HK$4,680)
Several pieces also draw inspiration from Shanghai Tang’s own autumn/winter 2012 collection and feature fabric embroidered on stones with brass chain and leather. All of the pieces will fit in perfectly with autumn’s embellished trend.
