As the weather cools down, I’ve started to think about updating my sweater wardrobe. While Pringle of Scotland hasn’t been high on my fashion radar lately, their latest collection has made me rethink that all together.
The knitwear brand has recently released The Princess Grace collection which takes inspiration from the classic style of Grace Kelly. But before you think of cashmere twinsets and stuffy cardigans, keep in mind that Pringle enlisted the talents of five Central Saint Martins students to design the range. The final result is a selection of timeless knits with a modern fashion edge and cool details (just the way I like it).
So there are classic boatneck sweaters with chunky buttons down the back while another features cool knot effect in the front. Others styles come with a trompe l’oeil effect in the form of a sweatheart neckline or an intarsia print that’s very Celine. For a more fun look you can choose from jumpers printed with the words “Grace” or “Kelly” on the front. My favourite however is the stunning knit white dress which was designed by no other than Pringle fan and actress, Tilda Swinton. Don’t you love it when two style icons come together?
