Elin Kling may be Sweden’s most famous blogger, but we recently discovered that she is also the brains behind clothing label Toteme, which she co-founded with Karl Lindman, a former design director of Interview Magazine.
As expected the line embraces Swedish minimalism to a T, but has an added urban vibe seeing as its based in New York city (which is also why it has attracted fans like actress Alicia Vikander and Vanessa Traina). The collections appear effortless and relaxed, but we love the supped up details and new proportions that keep these basics looking fresh.
The spring/summer 2017 collection, which has just landed in Hong Kong, features essentials like knit dresses, cotton shirts and silk trousers that we can envisage ourselves living in all summer. Highlights include the light blue checked Noma shirt featuring a cool asymmetric cut and diagonal button fastening. We can also see ourselves swanning around in the graphic Toulon trousers which flutter as you walk thanks to cleverly placed slits. The brand is affordable too, so you can stock up without feeling guilty.
Toteme is available at Vein, Shop 301-302, Lee Garden One, 3 Hysan Avenue, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong; www.toteme-nyc.com
