When we first spotted Celine’s pointy toe Babouche – which is inspired by Turkish/Morrocan slippers – we had our doubts. Over a year later, the style is still a favourite with editors thanks to its casual chic vibe and comfort.
While Celine’s version may be out of your budget, Nodo’s are not. Designed in London and developed in Seoul, this chic line of footwear isn’t made from leather. Instead every pair is crafted using running shoe material and modern knitting techniques to create flats that are fashionable yet functional (the uppers are produced by one of the largest high-tech knit factories in Korea). Aside from looking fabulous, practicality is high on their list of priorities. Expect details such as a thermoplastic toe guard to keep the shoe’s shape and repel water along with a super thin insole with anti-bacterial fibres and anti-odour properties.
Two styles – a round and pointed toe – are available in countless of colours and patterns so you can really experiment with your look. Each pair also comes with a detachable ankle ribbon if you fancy playing ballerina for the day!
