Chloe has finally released a statement regarding Hannah MacGibbon’s departure from the brand. Excerpts from the statement are below:
“After almost ten years of creative collaboration in their best mutual interests, Chloé and Hannah MacGibbon announce that Hannah will leave the house to pursue new projects…
“Said Geoffroy de La Bourdonnaye, CEO of Chloé: ‘We are grateful to Hannah for her contribution and commitment to Chloé. Her considerable talents will be missed; we are proud to count Hannah among the Hall of Fame of great designers who have marked the history of Chloé since 1952.'”
In her place the brand has appointed ex-Pringle of Scotland designer and fellow Brit Clare Waight Keller as creative director. Prior to her tenure at Pringle, Waight Keller worked at Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. She will take on her new role effective June 1st.
