Goodies from Where the Woaw things (from top left clockwise): B&O sound dock, Linkwood whisky, Go Pro 3 camera, B&O headset
Even though Christmas is my favourite time of the year, I hate buying gifts. It’s so hard to find something unique and original especially, especially for the men in the family. Fortunately I have been given a reprieve this year thanks to a new pop up shop at BLITZ in Lane Crawford, Canton Road.
The retailer has teamed up my dear friend and tastemaker Kevin Poon to curate a Christmas themed corner featuring some of his favourite things. For those of you who don’t know Kevin, this is a man with his finger on the pulse (he is also the other half behind Edison Chen’s Clot and has a blog on uber cool website Hypebeast).
Although a potential collaboration has been in the works for a while now, it wasn’t until last month that Kevin got down to business and started sourcing cool and hard-to-find items for the project (luckily he has a kick ass rolodex as well!) The result is a selection of over 100 items covering everything from fashion, design and gadgets to food, art and booze (including limited edition whisky and sake from Yardbird!)
Some of my favourites include a tree made out of Happy Socks, Bearbricks, faceless Rolex watches (along with vintage real ones) and fun pendants by Scott Campbell featuring vials with rolled up dollar notes. Many of the products are also exclusive to the store including Go Pro Hero 3 and a spaceship like B&O sound dock that is being pre-launched to the public for the first time. Impossible Projects cameras also make an appearance.
The space has also been decked out by Kevin’s friend and artist Prodip, so its definitely worth a visit.
Get ready to spread the love!
