If you thought the Abercrombie & Fitch opening was crazy, then you’ve seen nothing yet. Tomorrow (June 6) British retail chain Topshop officially opens its first store in Hong Kong and along with it comes a host of celebrations including live music, giveaways and the such.
For those of you who can’t wait until tomorrow, I managed to get a sneak peak at the boutique today. First of all the store is huge – 14,000 square foot, covering two floors – which means that local fashionistas have a lot to choose from (apparently more than 300 new pieces each week will also be delivered to the store). There is also a dedicated suite for personal shopping sessions, which are complimentary.
All of Topshop’s collections will be available in store including makeup, jewellery (this summer it’s all about neon), denim, designer collections and Boutique, which is their high end line. There is however no Topman (the men’s collection).
What I was most excited by was their Unique collection (above), which is shown twice a year at London Fashion Week. It’s housed in its own private area and has some stunning pieces including a wool blazer overlaid with silk and an embroidered organza dress.
Doors open tomorrow at 5pm.
Topshop is at 59 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong. www.topshop.com
