Charlotte Olympia pop-up store at The Landmark
As most of our readers will know, I can’t resist a pair of shoes. And while I always tend to invest in classics with a twist, I believe there is always room in every closet for a pair of Charlotte Olympia’s.
Last year we interviewed founder Charlotte Dellal during her visit to Hong Kong. Yesterday she reached a new milestone by partnering with accessories giant On Pedder to open her first pop up shop in the city.
As to be expected, the space, which opened yesterday at The Landmark, is as glam as her designs. The inside is decked out like a 1950s American diner in keeping with the theme of her Cruise 2014 collection, Sweet Talk. A global exclusive, it’s inspired by retro favourites from sweet treats like cupcakes to old classics like the jukebox. My favourites include the perspex Chatterbox clutch which resembles a retro telephone, the pumps with soda bottle heels, and her iconic Dolly platforms which come with candy bracelets.

Over the next few months the store will welcome a range of different projects. In October shoppers can indulge in an exclusive nail bar while November sees the launch of the Archie’s Girls limited edition collection inspired by our favourite comic book ladies Betty and Veronica. In December, Dellal launches her first horoscope inspired collection including shoes and bags designed exclusively for Asian customers.
