Sacai Pop-up at Lane Crawford Hong Kong
Japanese label Sacai is one of the most exciting and innovative fashion brands around. Founder and designer Chitose Abe has a cult following thanks to her experimental approach to design which combines contrasting elements to create effortless pieces that have a sporty yet luxe vibe. It’s all about unexpected silhouettes and technical fabrics executed in a modern and relevant way, which is why they are so appealing.

While her autumn/winter 2014 collection tops every editor’s wish list this season, they may also want to get their hands on the brand’s new and exclusive capsule collection for Lane Crawford.
Inspired by Abe’s favourite colour, navy blue, there are 11 pieces for women and 6 for men that reference silhouettes from past seasons. The styles embody the brand’s signature deconstructed/reconstructed look – think shirts with lace backs and skirts with pleated inserts, and knit dresses embellished with gold chains and pearl necklaces. The men’s collection is all about restructured wardrobe staples like the MA-1 jacket, striped sweatshirts and v-neck cardigans.
